There is a folktale from the Korean Unified Silla period that the Sky was angry at King Gyeongdeok, father of King Hyegong (Gun Un), who transformed his daughter in the womb into a son with the help of Taoist magic, which eventually brought disaster to the nation. After three years of production, My Constellation Professor is a combination of the Korean folktale and the author's imagination.
