Introduction to the service
What is Toonivie?
Toonivie is a film making software, developed by Ideaconcert. It converts still images in webcomics, comic books, pictures and etc into moving images very easily and quickly. In other words, it aggregated essential functions for making moving images, from many programs such as Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator, and etc. As soon as the user uploads still image on the server, Toonivie automatically separates all layers in each cut to get ready. Then, it gives over 100 special effects including camera moving, sounds, cubic effect, dubbing, subtitles, translation, and etc, following the direction of the production crew.
It actually upgrades the quality of contents because the readers can be immersed in emotion by watching moving images with various sounds than reading simple still images. As a result, it will widen the reader base of web comics. In addition, it will help Korean webcomics to penetrate overseas market thanks to the automatic translation and easy effects that would work in different cultures.
Competitive advantages
The biggest advantage of Toonivie is its reasonable cost thanks to easy control. In order to change still images into moving images withouth Toonivie, at least 6 programs are needed; Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator, Maya, Premier, Aftereffect, and etc. It requires long time and high cost to make film because the producer needs to have various human resource that can use each program. As a result, it costs around KRW200mil to make 2-hour long film. On the other hand, the company can make same results with only KRW30mil cost.
Market analysis and target customers
Its major target customers include 1) contents makers (comic book writers, webcomic writers, and etc.) and 2) contents distributors (broadcasting companies, internet portals, and etc). According to KOCCA (Korea Creative Content Agency), the size of domestic comics market is at around KRW1trn including KRW300bn of webcomics market. The size of global comics market is expected to have reached KRW30trn. The company expects moving webcomics to account around 15% market share of total comics market, bringing KRW150bn and KRW4.5trn market in the domestic and global, respectively.
Marketing plan
The initial marketing strategy is to use existing IP (Intellectual Property), such as famous webcomics, funny radio stories, comic books, and etc. By cooperating with the author, the company will try to make as many users to experience moving webcomics as possible, by using various internet portals and SNS channels.
Business model
The company will focus on charging film-making cost to the contents producers according to the length and quality of the result. In the long-term, the company is planning to purchase IPs to have ownership in the moving webcomics and distribute by itself.

We have deveveloped an authoriring tool "Toonivie" and now we are producing webtoon movie using Toonivie.
Introduction company and vision
Ideaconcert was established by Mr. Jeon, who has been developing many services and business models for over 15 years, in Sep 2015. Mr. Jeon started developing Toonivie as he was convinced that the Korean webcomics could attract many readers in the overseas market because the quality of contentes have been developed consistently.
Investment
The company has never been invested so far. It is trying to invite around KRW3bn investment in order to upgrade Toonivie’s functions, produce its own IP, and expand its business model to contents distribution.
